Overview
The On-Prem Management Console provides options to restart SecOps platform services when troubleshooting performance issues, connectivity problems, or after certain maintenance activities.
Restarting services does not remove any platform data, configuration, assets, vulnerabilities, or patch information.
Access Restart Services Option
Step 1: Open the On-Prem Management Consol
Open:
Step 2: Open Restart Services
From the left navigation menu, select:

Quick Restart
A Quick Restart restarts the platform services without performing a complete service reinitialization.
This is the recommended option for most troubleshooting scenarios.
When to Use
- Platform appears slow or unresponsive
- Temporary connectivity issues
- Minor operational issues
- Initial troubleshooting step before performing a Full Restart
- Platform data and settings are preserved
- Active scans automatically resume
- Typically completes within 30 seconds
Perform a Quick Restart
- Click Quick Restart.
- Wait for the restart process to complete.
- Verify access to the platform.
Full Restart
A Full Restart performs a complete restart of all platform services.
Use this option if a Quick Restart does not resolve the issue.
When to Use
- Platform services remain unstable after a Quick Restart
- Recommended by SecOps Support
- Following major maintenance activities
- Advanced troubleshooting scenarios
- Platform data and settings are preserved
- Active scans running during the restart will need to be re-run
- Typically completes within 2-4 minutes
Perform a Full Restart
- Click Full Restart.
- Wait for all services to stop and restart.
- Verify access to the platform after completion.
Important Notes
- During the restart process, both the SecOps Platform and On-Prem Management Console may be temporarily unavailable.
- Do not interrupt the restart process while services are restarting
- If active scans are running, consider allowing them to complete before performing a Full Restart.
Verify Services After Restart
After the restart completes:

3. Confirm that scans, agents, and platform operations are functioning normally.
If the Issue Persists
If restarting services does not resolve the issue:
- Review the relevant troubleshooting guide.
- Export platform logs.
- Contact SecOps Support for further assistance.
