SecOps Solution's Remote Access lets administrators securely access a Windows device directly from the SecOps Solution platform, no VPN or inbound firewall rules required. This article covers what is needed on the Windows device to enable remote access.
Prerequisites
- Windows Desktop or Server (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Administrator account on the device
- Outbound internet access to the SecOps Solution platform (see firewall requirements below)
Installation
Run the SecOps agent installer as an Administrator. The installer handles all configuration automatically, no manual setup steps are required for remote access on Windows.
To run as Administrator, right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
Firewall and Network Requirements
The SecOps agent connects outbound only,no inbound ports need to be opened on the Windows device or your network firewall.
Ensure the device can reach the following destinations:
| Destination | Port | Protocol |
| api.app.secopsolution.com | 443 | TCP (HTTPS) |
| rda.secopsolution.com | 443 | TCP (HTTPS) |
| rda.secopsolution.com | 13903 | TCP |
Troubleshooting
Remote access is unavailable in the platform after installation :
Confirm the agent service is running. Open Services (Win + R → services.msc), locate SecOps Service, and check that its status is Running. If not, right-click and select Start.
Installer fails to complete The installer must be run with Administrator privileges (right-click → Run as administrator). Ensure User Account Control (UAC) is not blocking the installer.Verify that outbound TCP on ports 443 and 13903 to rda.secopsolution.com is not blocked by Windows Defender Firewall or a network-level firewall. Run the domain connectivity check included with the installer to confirm reachability.
Check that the device is not going to sleep. Open Power & sleep settings and set the sleep timer to Never (or per your organisation's policy) to ensure the device stays accessible.
